Discover the Washington Park Historic District

Explore Winston-Salem’s grand Historic Washington Park District beginning in Old Salem and departing through UNCSA. Travel Segway PT-style alongside the city’s largest indoor swimming pool (home of the SeaDragons swim team, Chris Paul’s basketball camp, and Josh Howard’s climbing wall).

Then, glide down and under Main Street into Old Salem (and Salem College), upon our City Strollway, around a traffic circle, onto the Greenway, along and over a creek, into (and throughout) the historic Washington Park neighborhood and, finally, up into UNCSA to discover an array of stunning restored residences and a remarkably hidden North Carolina educational gem in a most notable historic downtown neighborhood often overlooked in Winston-Salem.

Learn why Winston-Salem would ever have a historic area named after a president, as well as where some of the city’s earliest movers and shakers lived, and which residences were provided their own trolley stops!

Air temperature limits for Segway tours typically are to be 40-90 degrees.
